Energy Flow Control System (EFCS)

Management of Energy Flow in Suitable Area for Energy Reduction in HVAC system

Using equipment to save energy by water flow control is an important part of energy conservation and sustainability in many industries. By controlling the flow of water, it is possible to reduce energy consumption and improve efficiency.

Main Feature of the Energy Flow Control

This can be achieved by using a variety of equipment such as flow meters, pressure regulators, and other devices to measure and regulate the water flow in a system.
Flow meters measure the rate of water flow and can be used to adjust the water pressure or to turn off pumps when the flow rate is lower than desired.  Additionally, valves and other controls can be used to regulate the temperature of water to reduce energy waste. By using these pieces of equipment, energy can be conserved by controlling the flow of water in a system. Not only does this help save energy, but it also contributes to the overall sustainability and efficiency of a system.

SGD Energy Flow Controller System

What are the operational problems of the existing AHUs?
Do you want to transform the existing AHU control valves to be more smart & intelligent?
Would it be great to see your existing AHU control valves be turned into an energy saver?
No welding…
No downtime...
No need to drain the chilled water…
No need to change the existing AHU DDC controller…
The Smart Green Devices (SGD) Energy Flow Control System (EFCS) can be installed on AHUs for HVAC energy measuring and controlling applications and includes:

Smart Interface

Connects all EFCS components and BMS (via hardwire or Wi-Fi). It also provides HVAC energy usage data while monitoring AHU coil performance and to adjust the AHU control valve to achieve the best coil performance to achieve more green.
EFCS supports Modbus RTU, Modbus IP, BACnet IP, BACnet MS/TP protocols and analog signal.

EFCS transforms the existing AHU valve to be smarter

EFCS maintains desired flow despite pressure changes and ensures to keep the desired flow only changes when demand requirements change or ∆T is out of the set point.
Applicable pipe size: DN15-500

Temperature sensors

Temperature sensors measure the ∆T across the coil and to allow the EFCS to adjust according to the ∆T set point.
Media temperature: max. 120°C (insertion sensor), max. 60°C (clamp-on sensor)

Energy Meter

The EFCS monitors, collects and display flow/energy data on local display, on BMS and mobile phone via Wi-Fi. Energy meter can be clamp-on or inline type to suit most of the existing site conditions.

∆T Regulation

The flow only changes when demand requirements change or ∆T is not within the set point specification. The EFCS provides regulation of the ∆T.
